I have the Rockware shock mounts on the rear of my truck. Now I know that there are many people that don't likt the Rancho 9000s but I was wondering, Is the RS9005 the longest I can put on the rear of my truck, or can I fit the RS9012. I do have bent trailing arms and if necessary I can make a longer retaining cone. My main concern is that when I tuck my wheels up in the well, will I damage the shock? Thanks in advance. |

I have Bearmach 2" Springs. I was just wondering if I could get any use out of the RS9012 or will the trailing arms inhibit getting the full 14" or so out of the shock, |

Brad- The 9005 is the right length(s) for the RW kit and a 2" lift. Anything longer with a 2" kit may bottom, and also let the spring travel past the end of the cone. The problem with lengthening the cone is that in some circumstances, the cone may contact the bottom spring perch. Taller springs would probably be needed to clear longer cones. I imagine you could use the 9012 along with bumpstops and limiting straps, but I don't think you would see any real advantages over the 9005. fwiw- Craig |
