I`m ready to oreder either a Hi-Lift Jack or a Jack All. I`d like to hear from you all which one you think is better and why you think one is better than the other. John and Ho are about to get a big order from me hehehe!! Thanks

Hi-Lift... you can get a 60" jack and it comes with the loop at the top of the jack that can be turned to use the jack as a clamp. The jack-all isn't as well built in my opinion too.

Jack-All...just a better built more stable jack. Check out EE's website. John and Ho have a great little article on them and the Jack-mate.

Jeff,

I recommend the Jack-all. Everything you need to know about comparing the two products are on:

I also recommend the Jack-Mate to accompany the Jack:

Ofcourse you can get em both to do what ya need to do with em but the highlift just works better. The more worn out it becomes the better the mechanism works in it. The Jack all mechanism just pisses me off... :)

i've had nothing but grief with my jack-all from day one, it's a real bitch to use, i've even bouth a repair kit and mend it's problems,,, they are still there.

it now takes a pair of pliers to operate properly. i'm too cheap to buy a new one, and it does work.

i hope the hi-lift is better. i dont know , they might both suck.

Rob, turn the i-beam thing around, you've got it on backwards. There is a smooth side and a rough side to it and the pins will stick if you've got it the wrong way. They're so basic that nobody reads the assembly instructions and you've got a 50/50 chance of getting it backwards.

Know what you are doing!

Be safe.

60in Highlift is nice.

I like my hi-lift because it came with the new finish and it was only $39 at the local tractor store.

We used it last week to move a huge tree (40" diameter) from the trail. Echo Ron's remarks, practice until you're comfortable, know what you're doing.

Not only practice, but use extreme care at all times. Be scared of the jack!! Well, not scared but pay attention. My friend is a very experienced and responsible off-roader and he lost his eye while using a hi-lift in Maine last fall. He had to be airlifted to the hospital and was in pretty rough shape. Keep your jack clean and lightly lubed and never get complacent.

I like my Jack-all, but, FWIW, I have seen the handle of a High-lift (which is removable unlike the Jackall's) used in place of a bent-beyond-repair drag link during a trail fix. Without it the guy would've had a hard time getting home-
