ok heres the scoop .last week I went to work no problems, went out for lunch no problems tried to go home sounds like no spark , so I cleaned the cap & rotor viola fired right up went home three days later the disco did the same thing so I replaced the cap, rotor& plugs(I gapped the plugs to what it says under the hood ) ok i'm cool, or so I thought. died after an hour of driving wouldent re start .So i pulled the coil wire at the coil and had helper crank the motor hmm not alot of spark, multimeter in hand i checked the volts going in, 4v .how much should there be?. so I called the dealer to see how that I can check the ignition module I told them this story and they said no its your fuel pump come in and let us replace it for you .no my fuel pump is new and puts out 36 p.s.i.. any body know how to test a 95 disco ignition module ?or how much volts are supposed to go to the coil |

I had the same problem with my '95. dealer told me it was the fuel pump and fuel pump wiring harness. I was at the mercy of the dealer since my truck died in their parking lot! well, it solved all my problems of starting sometimes and stranding me others. might want to check the wiring harness. |
