OK, so when I turn the wheel fully in one direction or the other in order to make a sharp turn in a parking lot, or around a log in the road, what is the squeek-hiss sound that I am hearing? It is only when the wheel is held all the way in one direction or the other. Is it a PS Pump problem? A steering damper problem? Or normal? Also,if you have any ideas about why my right rear door will not lock electrically, only manually, that would be nice. http://landrover.mrbaileyshistory.net |

The squeak-hiss is your p/s pump at full lock. If it's making alot of noise, you should probably have it checked out. They all make a little noise at full lock. I have a DSII, so I can't help you with the second question. |

I have to ask, what does the exhaust... performance... subtopic have to do with my power steering noise? I did see an "evenflow" (is that even a real brand?... I donno) exhaust on a DI and it sounded great, the owner said it got a little better punch and a little better gas mileage in the city. |
