Is it on the right bank side with a little black plastic cap that you screw off? This is in line w/the 3.9 logo on the plenum, and in line between the #6 and #4 spark plug?

What is the recommended PSI also? 32? Thanks for your help!!

The Schraeder valve is for testing fuel pressure.

Recommended pressure:

Ignition on, engine off: 34-37psi
Engine running 30psi

I looked in my Workshop Manual for my '96 Discovery and I did not see a reference to the schraeder valve. I did see the specs stating the fuel pressure but no mention on how to test the pressure. If I overlooked it, I would like to know what section the information is in.

Thanks,
Jeff

It should be on the fuel rail left side while looking at the engine. It has a black cap on it.

I forgot to add this on my last post

The older 3.5, 3.9 EFI engines do not have a schraeder valve. a special setup is required to test the FP.

Dee:

I think the 3.9 engines have the same fuel rail as the 4.0. The Schreader valve is in the same place on my brother's '94 as my '97.

Thanks guys! Thats what i thought. There is one on my 3.9 with a little black cap on the right side (left side while standing in front looking at engine)

I really appreciate your guy's help. Now i can go and put a tester on it to see if my Fuel pump is going bad.
