After a tough day off roading, I decided to purchase a set of sand bridges or waffle bridge mats. Before I spend the 300 or 400 on it, I would like to know which one is the best. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

Wow - so that's the ticket - $22.00 a piece! Except they seem to only sell them in bundles of thirty pieces. Looks like one 10' piece would easily make two+ sandladders/bridges, we should try to get thirty people together and order a pallet! /mike |

Mike - you can order less. I ordered about 16 pairs (5' long x 2 pcs) for a bunch of guys in my club for $26.00/pair (precut - torchcut). I think he will sell less for more $$. They will be rusty and require blasting/scraping and repainting and they are not light like aluminum. Bill |

Mike, I have ordered two 5' from them, they will ship UPS and sand blast and coat it for couple bucks. still, you will know that those mats are used and heavy in weight |

Repost, dont mean to bug anyone just thought someone might be interested in this thread I am getting together with some friends to do a group purchase of some Waffle Mats similar to the ones that Rovers North sells http://catalog.roversnorth.com/catalog/large.taf?id=rnw1000 and was wondering if anybody else was interested? They will be a 2x2x2 fiberglass composite grid, with a concave top (on individual members) complete with grit surface for added traction. This seems to be the most practical. We will be making them in Washington State, so will need to be shipped from there. Won't know the exact price until we know how many and confirm an order price. The price should be somewhere around $260 depending on the amount we order. They will be 5-10 x 14. Let me know if any of you are interested. Thanks Trevor Hennessey my96disco@hotmail.com |

Rovers North has some aluminium platforms (army surplus) for $165. They are used, but who cares- Your going to drive on them. http://catalog.roversnorth.com/catalog/large.taf?id=pap05 |

I like th mantec bridging ladders. I think they would have been the best for that trail. Mike d1 has a new pair he sold his other waffle mats and bought aluminium ones he would be a good person to ask. |

Thanks Lance. I did that already. Once I got my ladder and hook up the ARB. Let's go again. |

Mike's bridge ladder from BritishPacific is just too much for me. I have decided to purchase the army surplus sand ladder from Rovernorth. I will try it out and later on, I probably will purchase the landing mat as the bridge. It should be a good combo and cheaper. |
