The front parking lights where the turn signal illuminates does not turn on with the headlights. Granted, my turn signals work but the front (yellow) parking lights do not come on. I have checked every fuse and the bulbs are all good. Any other ideas? |

Your contacts on your switch is probably worn out. |

nope if you take the switch apart you will see that when you turn the switch it changes the contact points on the contact panel. Pretty simple to understand after you tear it apart. Mine went bad and all I did was cleaned it (contact panel) and put a think layer of solder on there make sure the solder is smooth put some electrical greese back on and presto it works. I am sure eventually the solder will wear through but it has lasted me over a year and a half now. |

Well, i tried that Jim and it didn't work. I tested the switch and everything is getting power. I cleaned and regreased the switch also. But my parking lights still do not come on when I turn the turn signal arm. Any other tips perhaps?....anyone? |

Glen, if you are moving the switch to the middle 'parking lights' position, I don't think the amber front lights are supposed to light up. Mine don't. The headlights do light up in a very dim fashion when the switch is in the parking light position. |

Doug....you are right about the the dim lights coming on...but my amber (yellow lights) do not come on even when I turn the regular high beams on. I don't expect you to know this but you have been such good help that I figured I would just keep bugging you with questions....hope you don't mind...but i did clean the switch and still no difference....its wierd..do your turn signals blink fast or slow like other cars?...mine blink fast. thanks, Glen |

just cleaning and regreasing didn't work for me I actually had to put on a thin layer of solder on the contact strips. |

Fast blinking might be (1) a burnt-out bulb or (2) a fuse. Andy |

Hey Jim.....the soldering won't damage the contact strips?. and what side of the contact strip did you lay the thin layer of solder?...on both parts/sides or just on on part/sides of the contacts...thanks, glen |
