weird little problem here - haven't really started to look into yet, but I will probably check into it more tomorrow. But I thought I would run it by here first: Driving along with A/C blasting when it suddently shuts off for several seconds and then comes back on. Doesn't seem to be related to any "bumps in the road", etc, as I am initially thinking this must be something of a short in the fan switch - but I can't seem to correlate it to anything specific. This has happened a handfull of times over the last three days. (of course, I'm about to drive this bird across country - to Arizona no less - ha! so the A/C starts acting up days before.. heheheh) /mike |

I asked the same question a month or so back and thought that was an insane problem. Apparently it is a very common problem. Just jiggle the switch and it comes back on.. as i said in the original posting of my question, I like to jiggle it just a little bit Lack of sleep will make a man insane. Oh well, as far as the real problem behind that is behind the switch. Only remedy is to replace stuff.. costly stuff. I'd say just live with it and jiggle it.. Peace.. RS |

Thanks - I did a quick search before posting, but didn't find your thread. I'll check it out tomorrow - it sure acts like a short - but it always seemed to kick back on just as I "started" to reach for the switch... heheh - some kind of paranormal activity... /mp |

does it only happen in "4" speed? That seems to be a common problem. Try "3" - ours would always stay on in 3, but would shut off in 4. |

mine does it on the 4th speed but when it does go out I just push on the switch and it works again. |
