try checking the archieves on this one. this was talked about quite a bit. i have my stock ones back in, since i blew one of my xenons and have not gotten around to getting a new set. but i liked them. don't spend much on them, but there are different 'grades' of them out there. i liked them and will be going back to them. just bought some 100 watt xenon off road lights. will be interesting to see how they work. |

There are real Xenons and then there are the regular bulbs with some Xenon gas. Unless you install a ballast for your new bulbs they aren't true Xenons but regular bulbs with some Xenon gas. The real Xenons will cost over $400. The real Xenons last a long time but if they do fail and you replace only one of them you'll end up with two diffent colored headlamps. FWIW, of my 3 vehicles two have the real Xenons and they're very much worth it. But with that said I have no plans to convert my Discovery to Xenons. |

I bought a set off on eBAY for about $20. I don't like them and am planning on removing them. Even though they are marketed as white, they put off a blue tint. They are not like the Xenon's that you see stock on the newer cars. The blue tint makes it bad for driving in bad weather becasue they make the while road lines harder to see. Many people say they look cool on my truck, but they are very unpracticle. |
