I'm about ready to put a set of 235/85/16 tires on my Disco1. This is my daily driver and is used off raod only about 10% of the time. I'm looking for a good quality all-terrain tire that can tolerate being off road. No mudders or super swampers (the wife and neighbors would kick me out of the subdivision). I like the Bridgestone Dueler AT, but its not available in 235/85. So I was debating between the Michelin LTX AT and Goodyear Wrangler ATS (leaning toward the Michelin) when I came across a link for Mickey Thompson tires. I like the looks of the Baja Radial MTX, slightly more aggressive than the Michelin but nothing to warrant booting me off the block. Now I've been lurking here for some time and can't recall anyone ever mentioning Mickey Thompson tires, and I've been unable to find any direct comparisons between the Michelin LTX AT, Goodyear ATS, and MT Baja Radial MTX. Does anyone have any experience with the Mickey Thompsons? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. -Joe |
