Hey all, I purchased a used '01 D2 SD a few months ago and have noticed something which I am not sure is a problem. If I am traveling at a good rate of speed and start to apply the brake, but then at about 20 mph hit the gas and accelerate, my discovery seems to loudly jump into gear with a good jolt. Is this something i need to worry about? thanks in advance. |

My '00 D2 does this also, under various circumstances. All my automatic vehicles have done this, but none so powerfully as the disco. |

That is only the driveline slack in the gears. LR gears are usually square cut for strenght rather than bevel cut like japanese gears and so they make some noises. Don't worry about it. |
