Hello all, I'm ready to order my springs, anybody know of anyone who beats DiscountRovers price? And service and concern for that matter? Nathan and Dee are great people, but was just curious as to pricing elsewhere. I've looked at the usuals, EE, Rovers North, Roverconnection(which doesn't have OME showing anywhere anymore), and can't find a better price. Let me know what is out there. Thanks in advance.. Kyle, not trying to pop anybody in the nose, cheap isn't the ultimate goal, best price of the same product is what I was looking for. Sorry to offend anyone, but what is wrong with trying to save a couple of bucks? Especially to Ho, I apologize if I offended you, as well as Nathan and Dee, like I said, where else can you get great prices, service and concern for the customer. I've bought a couple of things from Nathan, and couldn't be happier with all of the above. I've purchased only one thing from EE, and had great service. Man Kyle, I don't know you but just look at things like you don't have an extra grand to spend every time you want something. I was out of work for 4 months, changed cities, bought a house, car, etc. just before all the above happenings, so I don't have alot of extra money laying around. I saved up for the OMEs and sold some stuff to come up with the cash. Kyle, if you're ever in Knoxville, TN, I will definitely buy you a beer. Same goes for Ho, Nathan and especially Dee. God, I wish I had never had asked a question on a message board. Later.. Rob |

Robert , first off dont get all offended and freak out (Like so many do). But I will say again. It aint only about best price man. That extra cash buys you something that "Cheaper" joints just cant supply. I realize there are many that wont be here in the Disco crowd long and for them it dont really matter. Ask yourself how long you plan on keeping the truck and how much info/assistance you will need in its life. Then , sit and think about that for a moment and let it settle in... Then think about those guys you didnt buy from cause they were a little too high in the price.... Ya dig ? Kyle |

Hola again Kyle, The Disco is coming up on 110k, hoping that it will last to 200k. Odds are against me on that one. 99.9% positive I'll be purchasing from Nathan, just because that is what I've done in the past. However, I plan on purchasing another Disco with lower miles when this one buys the farm. Anyhow, Son of the Beach is on, I must go watch Jamaica St. Croix.. And by the way, I do dig.. Peace.. Try www.jeepersandcreepers.com for ARB/OME stuff. James is great there. He deals mostly in j**ps, but is very helpful and I haven't been able to beat his prices anywhere |

While it pains me to admit it, IMHO Kyle's rant is completely correct . The lowest price shouldnt be the only thing you consider. I have found the ome springs/shocks for a slightly better price at a local 4x4 shop, but the only reason I knew what to ask for was due to the excellent web page and customer service of EE. If we use resources like them to educate us on what to buy and then purchase our products from some low cost leader elsewhere, these resources will disapeer. Dont get me wrong, they still need to be competative, but you should try to support the resources you use. When the shock of my upcoming wedding goes away, or when I become completley numb to it, I will certainly be ordering them from EE (as long as they stay competative). Now if I could just figure a way out of the Californian sale tax! cheers chris |

Chris I totally agree with you (Damn I guess that means KVT also....) I ordered all my latest stuff from them, not because they had the best prices, but because there is no sales pressure and they are VERY helpful. That said there prices are on par or a little under most of the other guys. Even after countless calls John is still friendly and I know I'm a pain in the ass... hehehehe Carl |

Did anyone see son of the beach last night? This new season SUCKS! They took off the Mayor and her gay son, the jokes were lame, and BJ wasnt even in last night's episode. |

Ok, I apologize officially and publically to all that I've offended. If you look at my post you will see that I didn't want just price, but price and service and concern for the customer. I hate that everyone misunderstood my thoughts. I retract all of it. I am buying from Nathan. No doubt. Son of the Beach last night was God Awful, I wouldn't wish anyone to see that, not even Kyle Just kidding man. On a lighter note, I about got the Disco stuck yesterday. Well, actually it was stuck and some how it made it out of there on those slick Michelins. All kinds of crap in my brakes which needed to be replaced anyhow. Looks like I've got a long night ahead of me. PEACE TO EVERYONE!!! Rob |

Rob, don't apologize. The longer you are on this board, the more you will see that Kyle is an ass to everybody, especially to those who post anon. His theory is "to flame everyone to create interest and traffic" on this board. Just ignore him like most here have learned to do.... |

Robert No apoplogy needed. I don't think you offended anyone. This board is known for its straitforward shot from the hip attitude, thats what I like about it. Kyle is a prime example( King of the Hill ? ) of this and you'll get used to it. Kyle knows his shit, but might have a "problem" with the delivery. hehhehe I for one am glad he bothers sharing his knowledge on this board... Carl |

One has to wonder when folks resort to calling others names and using mildly vulgar expletives to do it. |

I think I'm going to go trade the Disco for a Saturn VUE. Because Saturn owners are all members of some elite club Well, on second thought, i'll just keep my rig. I changed my pads last night, and the right rear rotor is chewed all to shreds on the back side. I Didn't put the new pad on the back side of the rotor back there, b/c I think that I'll be lucky to go 1k or so before I thrash that pad. Is there any turning of the rotors on the Disco? I have never had to replace rotors, I know they aren't the most expensive, but why spend if you don't have to. That would be a nice $35 bottle of Cuervo to share with everyone. later.. Rob |

Robert the rotors can be turned but not much meat on them, Also factor in the charge for turning its about 1/2 the price of new ones at least in my area. |

Thanks Dee, I was thinking it would be around 15 bucks, but I really don't know. I remember getting the rotors turned by some good ole' boys in the 77' Cutlass Supreme for like 10-12 each, or something like that. But that was more than 10 years ago too. Later.. Roberto |

It seems over the last few years the cost of rotors has come down while the cost of turing the rotors has risen, Also those brake lathe's are about 11k |

Robert, seems like no one really answered your question about the OME purchase. I puchased my OME springs and shocks from John Lee at Expedition Exchange for what I found at the time was the best price. John was very helpfull in every way and always seems to be available if I have a question. Please give them a look. Do you have a D1 or 2? |
