Have you checked to see if both of your antenna jacks are plugged into the radio? It makes a heck of a difference! Z |

I have the same problem in my 98 LSE the radio reception bad. I get some static on all but the strongest station. In other cars I don't have this problem. I have taken the radio out and checked both the jacks from the diverstiy antennas and they are plugged in. I don't notice much of a difference when one is unplugged though. I want get a signal booster, but moost FM signal boosters I've seen don't seem to be compatible with land rover's antenna setup. I'd love to hear thoughts on this. E |

Actually, your Disco's antennas already have signal boosters. One on each side above the window and behind the trim. You might want to check and make sure they're getting power. |

thanks for the input i failed to explain the problem corectly,,sorry. the radio works fine , and the reception in and around the city outskirts is ok. But when i travel away from town , the reception drops out a lot sooner than all the other cars that i have been in. I will check the conection at the back of the radio. another question while im here,Is the conection to the arial on the window a convential radio plug or will i have to splice it to conect anouther arial Thanks for your help Daren |
