Can anyone tell me where the drain tube(s) for the rear sunroof on my 98 D1 are located? They need to be blown out but I just cannot seem to locate them... anyone willing to reveal the secret location?

Thanks,
Dave

The drain holes are in the forward corners. An old speedometer cable out of a Series Rover makes a nifty 'snake' to root out any blockage.

That said, mine was purposefully blocked. My Discovery was built early in 1995 as the NAS spec prototype for the 1996 model year. Supposedly built by 'engineers' and all that. (4.0 Engine #000017) Well, when the 'peeling dash syndrome' was fixed at the dealership, they found a sheet metal screw intentionally placed to seal the drain shut...and it was not like someone missed screwing something else in place.

Good luck

Even for the REAR sunroof. I read your message to state that they are in the FORWARD corners by the windshield. I know thats where the drain is for the Front Sunroof but what about the rear. I though it drained down the B pillar or C pillars???
Thanks as another inquiring mind wants to know. I worked for a car dealership that had 2 rovers once. I was voted to fix the leaky sunroofs. They both leaked out BOTH sunroofs. Wow. Well, I fixed both the front ones but never got the rears blown out as I couldnt find them. One was covered under warranty, the other one didn't leak often. Wonder if the new owner has noticed yet. :-)
Thanks
