I want to simply confirm my math before installing bigger tires. I have a 00 Disco II with a 2" OME lift and I am going to be putting 265/75 BFG AT KOs on. These are close to 32", as compared to my current 255/65 stockers, which are 29". This is a 3" difference in diameter, so this translates to a 1.5" lift, correct? I need to make sure as my parking garage at work and the garage at home has about 2-2.5" left to give me as I am now with stock tires and lifted suspension. Thanks for your help! Chris |

your numbers check out, but it's really not that exact. Different tire manufacturers put out tires of varying size, even though the labels on the sidewalls are the same; air pressure will greatly affect the overall diameter of the tire, as will weight of cargo. But all else being equal, a tire that's 3" larger in diameter will make you sit 1.5" higher since you're attached to the tire in the middle. |

Chris, Hi. I have a question along the same line. I am getting the OME spring/shock installed in a few days. I opted for the medium duty type. Also wants to upgrade to BF/AT/KO 265/75/R16. Question- 1st. will this tire size fit on the OE alloy wheel, 2nd-do I need to make any adjustment to the speedometer sensor being that I'm using a 'slightly' bigger tire & 3rd-would this type of 'mod' causes any premature wear on the /drivetrain/axle? Thanks. |

Chris, 1) Yes the 265/75's fit just fine on the stock wheels. 2) Most likely no adjustment will be needed. Your stock speedo is off by as much as 10% so if you're reading 60mph you may be actually doing 55mph. On my '99 D2 with 265/75's I'm actually going less than 5% faster than indicated. 3) The bigger wheel will add more wear on the axle shafts and brakes. |

"Why does T R A N N Y allways appear as red dots?" It took me a little while to figure this one out but either we are behind some kind of filter or the site has a filter. Apparently "" is a slang term for transvestite and a common term used in searches for freaky thus it is blocked by whatever filter we both happen to be behind or Kyle has running on the site. |

It was discussed at length before Kyle just doesn't like the word . |
