My check engine light just came on. My disco just hit 110K. I remember the dealer telling me a light would come on and bring it in when it is to be serviced next. Nothing is wrong that I have noticed. Is there two lights check engine and service engine?

It is the check engine. Everything sounds fine and runs fine.

then you need something to read the trouble codes. Either the dealer, or any OBD-2 reader (for 96 and later discos). OBD-2.com has a good setup for $130 or thereabouts.
