I am going to put on a pair of PIAA 1000-XT driving lights to my 02 D2, but I had some questions as to how I should go about it. Mainly my biggest problem is getting the wires through the firewall cleanly as to it looking stock. Secondly I want to hook it up to a stock switch underneath my stock switch, but cant figure out how to get into it. If anybody has any help they can offer as to the set up or wiring or ANYTHING, I need it, thanks..... |

Dude, why are you installing PIA lights on a '02 DII? If your truck is an SD go with the stock factory lights, if you have an SE then why would you install extra lights, the factory off road lights are the best thing on the market. If you have fogs and absolutely must have extra lights, go with a factory kit. From the tone of your message, before you screw-up your 02 DII, have your local LR service techs do any and all work. There is an old adage, Leave well enough alone! In other words, if it aint broke, dont fix it!!! |

Will, I have a 01 DII & removed the front bumper & factory fogs & install two Hella 4000's on my ARB bull bar. Get a wiring kit & enter the firewall thru the rubber gromet on the drivers side below the abs, I simply drilled a 1/8" hole in it & ran the wire thru there & siliconed it. To use a factory switch it is a little tricky you will need the latching switch like your cruise control & re-label it to work unless you use the existing front fog light switch that only turns them on with the low beams. Good Luck, Brian |

You can get an AUX2 light switch from LR for use if you want a stock look. |
