Hey i put in a 100W bulb into my 55W stock fogs and now I keep blowing fuses with the stock bulbs back in. WHat is this??????? |

To much power for the cable in the stock fogs

anon, double check that you have the stock bulbs in.
do they blow fuse right away? like as soon as you flip the switch? or sometime after?

It is possible that using the higher wattage bulbs over heated the stock wiring caused wiring to melt elsewhere in the system before poping the fuse. I haven't had that problem with a Rover but I melted a Ducati wiring harnes that way. To check if that is the problem, remove all the bulbs and turn on the switch. If you pop the fuse, you have melted a hotwire between the switch and the light. Then it's trace the wire and replace or repair the problem. |

Now why in the heck would you put �a 100W bulb� into your 55W stock fogs? Was there a reason for this act of stupidity, or do you just have too much time and money on your hands?
Regardless or your shortcomings, it was pretty dumb!!! Rovers are built to run LR factory parts not hot rod BS, so stop screwing around before you melt your entire truck!
If you want to build a �bling-bling� mobile, my suggestion is sell the Rover and by a Cadillac Escalade.
PS..unplug the toaster before sticking your fork in it, BAWHAHAHA!!! |
