I recently had my 02 Disco at the dealer to check a starting problem that happens every so often. When turning the ignition on, nothing happens. I have to reset the remote, locking then unlocking. It starts right up. The dealer said it may be a frequency problem caused by my cell phone, if it is on when starting the vehicle. Anyone else experience this and if so was it fixed?

Mine gets zapped by French telecom! Each time I go to France somewhere on route my disco gets immobilised when parked - dead engine etc. The only method I find is to disconnect the car's battery for a minimum of two minutes. Reconnect and the disco starts. However I then need to re-enter the radio code to get radio working.

Mine does this too, although I just have to hit the unlock button again.

Dealer was unable to duplicate the problem... They didn't mention anything about the cell phone though... I might have to try shutting it off when I get near the car...
