I recently had my 02 Disco at the dealer to check a starting problem that happens every so often. When turning the ignition on, nothing happens. I have to reset the remote, locking then unlocking. It starts right up. The dealer said it may be a frequency problem caused by my cell phone, if it is on when starting the vehicle. Anyone else experience this and if so was it fixed? |

Mine gets zapped by French telecom! Each time I go to France somewhere on route my disco gets immobilised when parked - dead engine etc. The only method I find is to disconnect the car's battery for a minimum of two minutes. Reconnect and the disco starts. However I then need to re-enter the radio code to get radio working. |

Mine does this too, although I just have to hit the unlock button again. Dealer was unable to duplicate the problem... They didn't mention anything about the cell phone though... I might have to try shutting it off when I get near the car... |
