A friend of mine and regular contributor here is on the western border of Tenn Heading west. He has developed a few issues and it might be nice to have someone in the area if he becomes immobile. Anyone down around that way ?

When is he heading west? I'm leaving for Colorado from NJ July 12. Depending on his route and timing......

If he's on the western border of Tennessee, well.... the Thatched Roof Garage here in Kingsport is closer to Canada than it is to Memphis (Kpt. to Memp. is a 9-hour drive). Wrong end of the state... (sad face)

Anyone near Memphis or Little Rock??

I'm going to be back in Little Rock in two days but I don't think I would be any help since I am really new to the Land Rover thing and will be crashing at someone elses house. There is a small stealership in Little Rock though called British Cars of Little Rock, the phone number is: (501) 661-0303.

I just meant that if maybe they gave Dave a call...perhaps he may have a better idea of what/who is around there that might be able to help. When I lived in Georgia....depending on where you were in the state....I could direct you to any number of places or people that could lend a hand around the state....the rover community is small....but pretty well spread out! I certainly wasn't suggesting he get in his truck and drive over there........

This thread caught my eye because I used to travel thoughout CONUS in one of my two BMW's and the car club issued an annual directory listing members that wished to be included. These members could check-off a list of what they could contribute (i.e. "Bed for the night", "a garage", "tools", "mechanical help", etc.

I know that DiscoWeb is not a "club" like BMWCCA, but it sure would prove helpful to have a list for us Land Rover owners. Just a thought.

Axel, Ho, Kyle: whadda you think? Maybe allow interested parties to contact DB and ya'll compile the list and make it available to all via download?

Just 0.02 worth

Chris,

Ah, I see.... If he was in the Tri-Cities, I'd be on the way myself, but Memphis is a bit too far.... lol.... but you're right, it wouldn't hurt to call.... I don't know anyone out that far, but he might...

Don,
Have you seen Bush Ducks? http://www.bushducks.com/landrover/landrover.htm

Also, there's the Birmabright Brotherhood..... http://www.hwcn.org/~ag278/BBLIst.htm

Hope that helps....
