The plastic hook that holds one of my sunroof shades in place has broken on my '95 Disco. Just wondering if this plastic piece can be replaced, or if I have to get a whole new shade? If so, how hard are they to replace? |

Grady, I asked this same question about a month ago and all of the replys stated that it was NOT replaceable and many guys just rigged something up... I haven't gotten around to messing with mine yet, but if I figure something out I'll post it... Hope this helps... Chuckster |

I'm pretty sure you can get them from roverconnection.com. When one of mine broke, I went to the dealer who let me cut one off that they were sending back. It split in half with a knife pretty easily, then I just glued it back on the old one. |

Grady, sorry to say but you have to purchase the entire sunscreen. I wouldn't even want to ask how much from the dealer. I picked up mine on eBAY for around 40, like new condition. Not a very common auction item but it does come up from time to time. I did the fix myself, dealer wanted like 2.5 hours labor, didn't like that thought without any K-Y lube. Anyhow, if you take a look back in there, there are perhaps 5 or 6 clips that need to be suppressed. I could be completely wrong since it has been awhile. Anyhow, it's easy regardless. I actually opened the roof and stood with my head up there. The whole replacement process took approx half hour tops. For new parts call Nathan at Discountrovers.com, for questionable used parts and questionable service contact rovercannibal.com |
