I am looking to get an ARB portable air compressor to air up on the trails at the end of the day. Does anyone use this or any other meathod? I don't have lockers so the compressor will not be installed under the hood. |

Mitch, CO2 is cheeper and will inflate your tires much quicker. Also if you or your kids are into Paint Balls it will save you trips.. Tom, I was at a local welding supply in San Diego and i was chating the sales rep he said he could rig me up a Spun Alu 20# CO2 and regulator also a mount for under $200.00 |

Mitch, Will others with you want to use your air? Forget the ARB and save yourself air-up time, and the future cost of repair/replacement. Go with a 100% duty cycle compressor. Compressors from ARB are rated at only 20% duty cycle. Quick Air compressors are even less useful with only 15% duty cycle. For 100% duty cycle (And the ability to run air tools) Check out the $400.00 Extreme Aire at www.extremeoutback.com , the Currie Enterprises (Mil Spec & standard on Hummer), or the VIAIR 450 which is about $350.00 at www.4wheelparts.com -Barry |
