Will I need to extend the ABS line(in addition to the rear brake lines) now that I've gone to longer travel shocks and retained springs in the rear? It gets tight when the sway bars are still connected. I figured I'd ask before I pull the disconnects. Neil 94 D90 #1092 97 Disco |

My feelings on that area are if in doubt, get longer units. That's not something you want to snap while offroad. If they're tight now, imagine getting in a situation where the weight of the axle gains momentum and stretches your spring just a little farther. Not a good thought. |

Yes. I used EE retainers. On the DSII, the stock lower spring perch is too deep (the center area is raised more than on the DSI design), so you will have to get DSI lower spring perches to use the retainers. I got mine from AB for $12.95 each. By using these, you gain an additional .75" of lift in the rear, so I added my own 1" spacers up front to level things back out. |

Al, I have 1/4" plate laser cut to shape, then I form tubing and weld the pieces together. It fits between the spring perch and axle. E-mail me if you're interested in some. |
