Hi everyone, Can anyone tell me a point (preferably within the inside of the disco) where I can tap my VSS wire? I've got a 2001 DII and need to tap the VSS to install a navigation system. I haven't been able to find any info on this wire. Thanks in advance, -Tommy ps - nice to have discoweb back! |

I have a 95 and installed my navigation, using the VSS right off the tranny. I originally used the wire off the cruise control, but that didn't work. What you might want to do is get under the car, and look around the transmission. There should be a sensor right off it, ussually all by itself. Mine was a one wire, but seeing as yours is newer it might be a 3 wire one. I hope this helps. Wee |

Tommy, I highly recommend you sign on to the yahoogroups Disco2owners group. If I remember correctly, someone discussed this in the group a week or so ago. If memory serves, the person stated that if you remove (not disconnect) the fuse box under the steering wheel, their supposedly is a wiring harness wrapped directly behind that is there for the soul purpose of connecting a navigation system. Apparently, most LR tech's don;t even know it exists... Good luck, Dave Marchand |

I'm on the D2 yahoo group. I was the one that asked the question... before discoweb was back. Tonight I just got an e-mail from the fellow who mentioned the connector behind the fuse box. I found the connector and he e-mailed me the wiring info. I hope to hook up my nav system this weekend!!! -Tommy |
