help! i was playing in the mud and i got the truck pretty much covered in mud and now it wont start..... when i put the key in the ingition ,everything works just fine... but when i go to start it the windshield wippers come on and nothing happens.......i am up for any suggestions............ please.. thank you

check the inertia switch along the fire wall, passenger side.

Isn't the inertia switch a fuel cut off switch? If so the engine should turn over.

Maybe it isn't in gear. Put itin neutral and try ??

mybee the solinoid on the starter motor is playing up. give it a reasnable tap with a solid object like an axe head. by a tap i dont mean smash it off.
good luck , let us know when you find out what it is/was

thanks guys..... after all day of work we figured it out... it was the starter.. i guess it got to hot and burned up .. but it took us 4 hours to get the silly bolt off the top of the old starter. the idiot that put a allen bolt on the top of a starter... theres no room to get to it , and ours was striped all the hell. so that made it more time consuming.. thanks discoweb..
