How, exactly, do you access those switches (stereo volume and stereo fm radio search up/down)? Is it necessary to dismantle dash? I want to use them to switch my driving lights. Thanks, Don |

Don- If they're like the Disco2 binnacle switches (Disco2 does not have binnacle stereo control switches), the switches just pull straight out from the binnacle. Be careful not to pull at an angle or you risk breaking the button top off. The switches should pull out just far enough to disconnect the 5-pin connector. I don't know how to remove them from the front, but if you remove the binnacle, they're accessable from the rear. BTW, if you want to use them to switch your lights, remember that the switches are of the momentary variety. You'll need to buy/build a relay system that can use a momentary input to change states. |
