2001 stock TD5 Manual 5 Speed box UK
530 miles from a tank, commuting 30 miles per day through UK country lanes into city traffic jams.
Best was a long run of 590 miles over two days and averaged 37.6 mpg
I am impressed with my LR Disco!

I usually get about 265 miles per tank around town. I have 285/75's and my speedo is not corrected, so I'm actually travelling farther than indicated. On the highway I might get 300, but it's rare.

'99 D1, stock gears, automatic tranny.

When I was on stock 235/70s I was getting about 320 between fill-ups, a very constant 16.1 mpg.

Now I have 245/75s, and I'm getting a steady 270 miles between fill-ups.

BTW, GPS confirms that the speedo is closer to correct now than it was on the stock tires.

Worst ever mileage: 14.5 mpg
Best ever mileage: 22.1 mpg (I was in a caravan of Series Land Rovers, I was the only Disco)

Current running average mileage: 15.5 mpg

Mostly highway driving, with a little light city (i.e., small town) driving.

FWIW....

If you want the facts on what your Disco is getting download "Automotive Maintenace Tracking Database" for your Palm. The web site is http://home.earthlink.net/~herbo/palmos_sw.html

As per your question, I own '97 LSE Disco all stock with the exeception of a K&N air filter running rover recommended air pressure.

for the past year I'm been averaging the following:

14.1 MPG around town
18.7 MPG on the highway

I get better gas mileage in the summer than the winter, go figure.
