We just bought a used SE7 1997 and we opened the rear door during our initial inspection of the car but after a few hours we locked the car and then tried to open the rear door but still no luck any help would be much appreciated also where can we buy another owner's manual our's is missing Thanks Michael |

does it feel like the actuall handle is stuck in? If so, that Land Rover logo pops right out and you can push the handle back out.. |

This is probably just a sticky mechanism. This sometimes happens if the door isn't used often. I think the grease that land rover uses gums up. It also can happen if the door is open and you lock it and then close it. Usually all it takes to fix is get a screw driver or knife or anything flat and push it up underneath the silver part of the door handle, the part that you pull on and move when you go to open it. Just pry this part back out, towards the front of the vehicle. Grab the handle with one hand and push it back in and then wedge it back out a few times to loosen it up, then hit it with some WD40. I know on my 98 LSE during the winter it never sticks because I am opening it almost everyday to lug my hockey equipment around, but now that it is summer I don't use it as much and it sticks, same thing happened last year. |
