Hi - both of these came & remained on after pulling the airbag faceplate part of the wheel off in an attempt to replace my directional lever (which I had done for $75 as the wheel was siezed on and I didn't want to crush the dash prying it off). Anyway DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO RESET/TRIP THE SRS AND SERVICE ENGINE LIGHTS? Caveat: 96 Disco MANUAL with MANUAL CLOTH SEATS (I know people say things are under seats, etc. but often have power/leather seats). Thanks as always. -JA [email protected] |

JA: SRS light reset can only be done by a dealer (or other mechanic with proper computer diagnostics). Do you have both "service" and "check engine" lights like our 95 does? If so, "service" is the emissions reminder that comes on at 52,500 miles, and I can't understand why it would have come on with what you did. If you only have "service", then in your year it serves as both "check" and "service", and is a dealer (or other) reset in the 96 year. John |
