I am trying to mount a Warn roller fairlead to a ARB non airbag bullbar. I know I have to drill out the holes for the bolts that hold the side rollers on but do I also have to re-drill the two holes that bolt it to the front of the bar and winch??? I am asking because when those holes are lined up the top of the fairlead doesn't make direct contact with the piece of the bull bar that hangs out above it. Is this gap suposed to exist???? I could push the fairlead up more so it makes contact but it would mean widening the holes a little more, should I or is the gap normal meaning I should just leave it the hell alone. Thanks, Carter |

Note sure I understand what you mean exactly, so sorry if this doesn't answer: 1) you must redill the mounting holes (2) in the Warn fairlead so that it will mate up with the existing holes in the ARB bumper. 2) You do NOT need to redrill any holes in the bumper or the fairlead for the side rolls. If the fairlead doesn't slide all the way up - then you probably have a little bit of weld that needs to be ground away on the underside of the fairlead support (I had to on mine - a little time with a die grinder and it fit like a glove) Hope this helps Bill |

So those holes for the bolts that hold the side rollers in place don't need to be widened for the new bolts??? I havn't pulled the old ones out just yet but it looks like the new ones are a lot bigger. |

Nope - just replace the pins with the ARB supplied 5/8" bolts - just don't tighten them to much or the side rolls won't be able to spin. No matter though - ARB provides nylock nuts so they don't have to be tight to stay put. Bill |

Thanks, Ive got it all figured out now. This is just my usual way of handling things like this, worry about it for a few days and then finally just do it an realize it wasn't hard at all. |

BTW - put the nuts on the top - not the bottom as the directions specify - that way when you grind the underside of the fairlead on rocks - it won't bugger up the nuts and threads! Glad it worked out. Bill |
