I am thinking of changing all of my fluids to synthetic- a topic that is on here alot- but I am not sure how well the old stuff needs to be flushed out before the benefits can be seen. If I change them, will I have to change them again in a month to get the rest of the old stuff out, or is it such a small amount that it won't really matter? |

Just change it and run it till next scheduled change. Don't worry about the residual amount. It'll mix in with the new stuff. I did not even have the auto box flushed properly as we could not find a fitting for the oil line to do a proper flush. So we just let of a bunch of oil (4L I think) and filled with new. Then next oil change, we did the same. All the other pieces (diffs, engine, t-case) flush out much better. |
