My transmission in my '96 DI w/ 59K miles has started a minor (passengers don't notice) shudder right before it shifts from 1 -> 2. At times, the vib continues a bit after the shift. The fluid and filter had been changed at 30K, and at 50K, I did 2 drain and fills. If I put the gear selector in 1 and floor it, I can feel a little bit of the same vibration. I've adjusted the kick down cable per the manual. Any advice? Is it gonna die soon? Thanks, Bob J |

Maybe I'll ask this a different way ;) Those of you that have had transmission failures, what where the first and later symptoms? Thanks - I've had quite a bit of trouble with the Disco and if this is the beginning of the end for the transmission, I might just trade it in..... Thanks Bob J |

Thanks for the suggestions I really do like the truck, but I'm not sure if I want to sink a bunch more money into it if the transmission craps out. Has anyone solved problems like this with a filter change? Thanks again Bob |
