My transmission in my '96 DI w/ 59K miles has started a minor (passengers don't notice) shudder right before it shifts from 1 -> 2. At times, the vib continues a bit after the shift. The fluid and filter had been changed at 30K, and at 50K, I did 2 drain and fills. If I put the gear selector in 1 and floor it, I can feel a little bit of the same vibration. I've adjusted the kick down cable per the manual.
Any advice? Is it gonna die soon?

Those of you that have had transmission failures, what where the first and later symptoms?
Thanks - I've had quite a bit of trouble with the Disco and if this is the beginning of the end for the transmission, I might just trade it in.....

Thanks for the suggestions  I really do like the truck, but I'm not sure if I want to sink a bunch more money into it if the transmission craps out. Has anyone solved problems like this with a filter change?
