I was wondering if anyone has extended thier breathers. If so did you need to use a different fitting for the diff? I used to own a Tacoma and when I extended my rear breather it required a different type fo fitting to screw in to the top of the diff. Thanks.

Easiest way: why not simply get a tube slightly larger than the black plastic one your Disco already got, slide it onto the Disco's one where this ends at the chassis and have the 2 fixed together with straps ? Diasadvantage: you retain the steal bolt and union that is bolted to the axle. This rusts and thus gets blocked, leading to a leaking diff nose seal. But is is not necessary to change anything (or did I miss your point?).

Alternative 1: 3/8 UNF thread in the axle. So from racing parts suppliers bolt and unions in s/s or aluminium are available. To the union a longer tube can be attached.
Alternative 2: You could get an old breather from a series-LAndRover (f.i. SII) breather (with the small stell ball under the "mushroom"cover) and remove the top. The threaded type is brass and does not corrode. A nice corrosion-resistant steel tube can be soldered to it and a rubber hose attached to it with the required length.

Or you can be a lazy like me and just order one of the extension kits fom AB or Mantec. The Mantec kit also comes with an extension for the transmission breather tube.

I went to a local "tube shop", if those exist?...anyways, and bought 20 meters of the same tubes used by landrover.
I then drove 4 tubes to the engine bay: front diff, transfer, transmission, rear diff, and then i bought a 4-in-1 coupler, and inserted these 4 tubes, and exited one thicker tube to the top of the snorkel.
When I did that, I put a whole load of grease on these diff thingies so as not to rust.

This has been discussed here before:
