I have had a idle problem for the last couple of weeks. I let the vehicle sit for about four days and it almost would not start. I notice smoke coming from the exhaust while the motor was trying to start. The idle has gotten worse and will not hardly take off without sputtering. After the engine gets warmed up it seems to do better but the idle when stopped doesn't clear up. Need help please! Thanks Tracey |

Try the stepper motor...clean it first; if thatdoes not work you may want to replace it. Also, if your ignition wires are old they may need to be replaced. |

I notice over the weekend that the ECU was giving me a code 03 and I'm not for sure where the stepper motor is located. |

Try adjusting your idle...that worked for me. My idle was set to low. |
