I just finished my OME lift including shocks, springs, and damper...and now my steering wheel is a few degrees off to the left. How do I resolve this? Oh yeah, my truck has yellow under it now!

you need to adjust the drag link, which is the rod connected to the arm of the steering box. if your wheel is to the left you need to shorten the drag link length.

Did I mention that you are giving instructions to a retard! Could you be a little more descriptive? Sorry

OK, I searched the archives and found the drag link. Now how do I turn it? I assume that I loosen the clamps on each end, but which way do I turn it and how? Do I just throw some channel locks on it and turn?
Thanks

you can pop the balljoint off the end of the steering box arm, loosen the clamp on the drag link, then thread the balljoint in (tighten, to the right) to shorten the overall length. try one full rotation of the balljoint, that should be enough.

Yes, you can loosen the two clamps and rotate the track rod. It will probably be stiff and/or stuck requiring a fair amount of leverage to get the rod to loosen. A pipe wrench is very effective and even more effective with a piece of pipe over the handle for more leverage. In extreme cases in the shop, we have had to use the oxy/acetylene torch to loosen the tie rods in the track rod. The tie rod ends are right hand thread on one end and left hand thread on the other so as you turn the rod it will either shorten or lengthen. You may need to drive a short distance to verify that you haven't gone to far in the opposite direction. Don't forget to tighten up the pinch clamps when you are all done.

don't forget to jack up the truck, both front wheels off the ground, if you're going to try and use the method of turning the track rod itself.
