Hi, One of the rear brake calipers of my 95 Disco is leaking. I think this is the problem for the soft brake feeling. Is there any instruction on how to rebuild the calipers available in the net? The service manual states that a special tool is required to put the retainer seal on the piston. Is this necessary? How much time should I expect to rebuild both rear brake calipers? And do I need to put in a new set of pistons too? Thanks. |

Rebuilding the calipers is not particularly difficult, but the dust seal retainer will distort very easily when being installed in the caliper. It can be done without special tools, but requires patience and finesse. |
