I was looking at the pictures section and seen a picture of an axle shaft. I have never seen the ones on my disco so i was a bit dissapointed by the shaft size looks rather small. my jeep has 33 splined 44 rear and a dana 30 front and the dana 30 appears to have a larger shaft than my disco is this true? is there any way to eather put a larger shaft into the disco or install a dana 44 or something i was thinking of selling the jeep and lifting the disco but those shafts wont hold up to the kind of wheeling i like to do. any help would be appriciated. |

Yes the Jeep has larger axles. Stronger axles are made for the Rover. Go here: www.greatbasinrovers.com They have what you are looking for. |

the rear axles are 24 spline. you can get heavy duty shafts from either Great Basin Rovers or ashcroft. What size tire do you plan on running? It is possible to put in Dana 44s but you better be good at fabrication. If you want to see a nice dana 44 swap, head over to www.pirate4x4.com and check out Adam Ways 92 range rover. |
