I would like to replace the stereo in my '96 D1 with something a little more modern but I dont want to lose my dash control buttons. Has anyone overcome this? is there a radio that has external wires for volumn up/down, sel, next. or am I dreaming? Thanks Eric |

I'm sure it can be done, but mine are no more. Not that big of a loss if you ask me. Once you have a decent head unit in there you will completely not care about the loss of control of volume/channel changing/etc. My new deck came with a remote if I really wanted to use it, but I really don't find it necessary.. You still have to reach forward to worj the controls.............why not extend your arm an additional 2.7 inches and touch the actual head unit itself? I REALLY don't understand those controls......where they were placed. HOW is that a benefit when the stereo is soooooo dam close to them anyways? |
