I just had the alternator changed when it went bad last week. Tonight I noticed that the cabin lights, dash lights, and head lights pulsate at a steady pace with the engine. Even the windows sound like the pulse when rolled up or down. Is it the alternator again, or did they mess something up? |

Well, since no one else responded: That sounds like the alternator to me. It's either giving dirty power, or far to little. However, if you changed anything else, think about that. These symptoms also look like a very large power draw. (I wonder what would happen if the starter didn't dis-engage properly? Perhaps it would become a bad generator.) |

sounds like a voltage regulator problem...its job is to maintain constant voltage despite rpm changes...when they go bad the lights and things follow engine rpm /electrical output instead of being constant. might have got a bad one in the new alternator |

If lights PULSATE i´m afraid that some diodes inside from the alternator are blowed up. This occurs when there are interruptions in the power output connection. Check alternator and battery connections. Good luck |

Thanks, I'm taking it back to the dealer so they can fix it right this time. Atleast is covered under warranty, and I don't have to pay at all on this since it's their mess up. Thanks for the help guys. |
