For those who have their accessories (lights, cb's, etc) connected directly to their battery, how did you attach them to the terminals for a "clean" look? I have an Optima Red Top with the extra side holes for terminals and I tried adding the extra terminals along with those "Marine" hook-up things (where they tighten around the terminal and then have a bolt that sticks up that you put your connection on and then screw down a wing-nut). But there wasn't much room there at all, and was afraid I would create a short by touching parts of the engine with the connections. Anyone have examples of what you did? Don't want to end up with that mess of power wires wrapped around the terminal. Thanks! |

Go to Circuit City, Best Buy, etc...and pick up some terminals from the car audio dept. They have several kind. They usually have a few allen key openings for up to 8 guage plus one for larger, and some have an additional terminal on top for extra rings. I bought mine for about $20 each. Chad |

I've used the factory under-hood fuse block. That get its feed directly from the battery and there are spare terminals obvious once you pop the cover off. As the factpry wiring goes through there - you can make it look very neat and unnoticeable. Bill |
