I want to put heated seats into my 2002 discovery SE, but because I have a Westminster edition there is no insert for the buttons and no additional pannel to buy. I was wondering if anyone knows what the easiest way to fix a couple buttons in somewhere where I have the free spots. Thanks a lot.

Can't you replace the face plate? I've haven't seen the Westminster edition. What's in the place of the heated seat buttons?

no, the trim in the westminster is a solid anthratic wood piece. So there is no replacement piece as in the others for only that spot and there is no complete pannel with the spots ready.

Just a thought and since I haven't seen how that piece is installed this may not work. On my D2 the switches are actually mounted to a piece of plastic that bolts to the center console. The face plate just snaps onto that piece of plastic. If your piece of wood is held into place by that plastic backing you can simply use a dremel to open up the holes on the wood for the switch.

Will this work? It should!

You'd need this, obviously: RCD2WDCH console trim, for heated seats $240

that wont work.. the westminster wood is grey. you can cut it, if you have any dremel skill, ive seen it done.. it looks factory. or you can put switches on the dash. Where there are the 4 switches on either side of the gauges.. use the bottom one on each side.
