I was going to replace the stock bulb in my fogs on my D2 with 100W bulbs, but it is rated for 55W. Does anybody have any ideas of how this could effect anything....Thanks |

Will The higher wattage bulbs will draw more current and will heat up the wire harness. This will/could cause the wire harness to the lights to melt or burn and cause a short. Also you will have to change the fuse and posibly the relay since they are not rated to handle the wattage. |

I have been running them in mine for close to a year. I had to make sure that the wires in the back of the light were better protected from the higher heat generated but other then that no problems. If you do this make sure your grounds are clean in the back of the light. Mine were a bit mucked up from mud in there. Maybe I am just lucky. |

Why would you want 100w bulbs behind a fog lens? Isn't this like using a Henckles steak knife for neuro surgery? |
