Anyone got experience of Terrain Master bumpers, sliders, etc? Fitting, overall quality, paint/finish etc.?

Nope, just been checking out prices and scheming for a while, now the wife says I can spend the money!! So, it's "make your mind up time..."

I'd like RTE, so much good info about them, but the price, even with shipping from TM is so sweet, and they have some great features.

A dude we got out with has a TM front on his D1. Finish is pretty good, the mount was flawless and his AB skidplate fit with no problems as I recall. Generally it looked damn good.

I had a TM front skid plate and winch bumper on my 93 RR. Perfect fit as best I can remember, only problem I ran into was holes on the stock bumper brackets were too small so I had to enlarge them to get the supplied bolts to fit. The jackpoints are very, very cool.

No, I don't think so, and I'm not sure if you can still buy from TM direct - definitely cheaper than AB. I bought from TM last year and was told when I inquired I could still buy direct because I was an existing customer, hope that still is true when I go to but more stuff.

installed TM sliders (side sills) a few years ago. Ordered direct, had them shipped to my door in the US no trouble (I agree though, might be able too with AB selling).
The TM sliders were my choice based on the construction and mounting method (to the frame). This is a quality product made for direct use. Drivers side took a direct hit at Tellico. Coming down off of a rock, full weight of the disco dropped onto the slider....

My last quote on shipping was about $117 but that may be lower now, not sure. Shipping in the US is about $50 from what I remember when I last checked.

ordered shocks, jack-points and spare tire hi-lift mount from them at least a year ago. shipping really wasn't all that bad. great customer service and everything arrived pretty promptly and in good shape.

It cost me $150 to ship an ARB from Washington state to Indiana, consequently, some of the trans-oceanic shipping prices seem pretty good.

When I was shopping for a bumper, I contacted TM and asked about Bambi bars and they informed me that due to the regulatory/Insurance climate in UK, they don't offer bumpers with Bambi Bars (few 'Roos in Indiana!).

Andy,

I live in New Caledonia (in the middle of south pacific) and I have a set of TM sliders on my DI.

Bought these ones because it was cheaper on the freight from UK than from the US (asked rovertym - john told me freight charges were way too much).

Moreover, I was looking for sill+chassis mounting and that is what TM offers, with hilift jacking possibility.

At that time, mantec stopped producing their units for the DI.

Fitting alone with no problem. Quality very good... bashed it a few good times, happy they were here and still rocking.

This is from my experience, being far from a lot of solutions and vendors, this one was a good choice and the guys there are really nice people.

Best regards.

Erik SCHALL.
