All, i've heard of the new XM satelite radio, but is there a radio in the market today that is able to pick up International Radio Stations? I'm just curious... I know that the XM radio only carries U.S. stations only. |

Warren, Look for a shortwave radio. You can listen to radio stations from around the world on those, had 'em for years. FWIW... -L |

I have a Grundig Yacht Boy 400 from my Navy days. Excellent radio. While my ship was stationed in the Persian Gulf, we were pulling in radio stations from around the world. Nice to listen to Indy 500 on short wave on a lazy Monday. Short Wave is AM from 1711 to 30000KHZ and does include side bands. There is also a station/time directory called World Radio and TV Handbook which is worth the investment for finding the english (or other language) speaking stations. It is printed/updated annually. |
