I started to hear a grinding or something like that. It went along with as my wheel turned and I coasted.......almost like a bearing is bad. THEN.......the "anti-lock" light came on. THEN, when I tried to start the car and leave the parking lot.....I can't get it into gear. The shifter (autmatic) won't budge!! It's in a parking lot........I need immediate assisitance people. Thanks a bunch in advance!! |

your shifter could be stuck in park due to a blown fuse in the brake light circuit. Check your fuses, and ensure that your brake lights are working. The shifter lock is in the same circuit as the brake lights (makes some sense if you think about it). Happened to me. As for the ginding, could be an ABS sensor out of place on one of the wheels. If all else fails, you can unplug the ABS unit altogether, and the brakes will work (non-ABS), though the light will remain on. Good luck, john |

Thanks for responding. I appreciate the feedback!! It's late, so tomorrow I will check out the fuse before I spend coin on a switch. |
