Author Message   Jess Posted on Saturday, July 20, 2002 - 11:27 pm:    I saw an '03 with the revised headlights and fog lamps...it had the 4.6L engine...and after some research i found out that the North American '03 Disco is the only one with that engine....anyway...i wanted to know if the cdl was back...and when it disappeared....have any DII's come with a cdl...thanks, jess   Al Oliveira (Offroaddisco) Posted on Saturday, July 20, 2002 - 11:52 pm:    The new (2003) D2 is going to have the CDL as an option. From the sounds of it dealers don't have information on it yet or the CDL is not going to avaible for the US (yet). The 1999-2000 and some 2001 had the ability to be easily modified to have the CDL. You just need to install the linkage. In the second half of 2001 and all the 2002's lack the ability to just add the linkage and you would need to replace the entire transfer case to get a CDL or just live with an open diff. My guess is that the 2003 US models WILL get the CDL as an option in the next few months.   Michael Noe (Noee) Posted on Sunday, July 21, 2002 - 06:58 am:    Seems like over on the D2 Yahoo board, someone found something official that said 03 D2s getting CDL would be special order from the factory after August.   Mel A. After August built, all NA discos will have CDL. So the Discovery Series II will go down in history as the only Disco without CDL.
