While stuck in trafic on my way to New England from New York this past Friday, my red ACE warning ligth came on ..flashing..beeping... I pulled over, shut the car down looked for any sign of touble - broken belt, leaks, dead skunk jamed in the pump-..nothing. Read the manual, it was no help..It said not to use the car, shut everything off and run with your hands over your head screaming "the sky is falling" I don't listen well so I started it up, the warning light was off, the beeping stoped...and all has been fine since. I finished my trip with a few hundred miles and the light never came back on. I'm sure it's just a computer glitch. Has this ever happen to any of you guys? Carl |

Carl, I haven't yet seen it on my 2K with Ace. In fact, I've asked the service guys how many problems they've seen. They said only a few issues with crimped pipes and broken belts. But if you checked those, and the light never came on after your trip, I'd chalk it up to Lucas. |

Was the ACE the only warning light? Besides the time that one of the ACE hoses blew and all the fluid spilled out, the only other time the ACE light has come on is in conjunction with 2 or 3 others (ABS etc.) This has happened a number of times in different circumstances. I had the SLABS upgrade done and it has not happened since. We hold thumbs. www.worst4x4.freeservers.com |

Over 3 years and 40k miles and the only problem with my ACE has been the recall done a couple of years ago. Sounds like the prince of darkness (even though there is less Lucas stuff in the D2) strikes again. |

Streak, No other lights, no leaking fluid, no broken belt. I think it was just pissed to be stuck on pavement, in trafic and forced me to drive in to the woods to check. |

I had this happen to me recently. ACE light went on as I was driving. When I started the engine again after I got home, the light went out. I took it back to the dealer. They checked it and found out that the calibration was "way off." |
