All this discussion about the Saudi Grille has me curious...

Has anybody MADE one? Seems as though one could take out the trusty Sawz-All and chop the fins out and either epoxy some screen-type material in place. Also, I can think of numerous materials that are readily available at Home Depot-like places that one could use. Maybe a nice piece of expanded steel, painted black and screwed in place with stainless fasteneres. Or, maybe even a piece of that perforated steel with the nifty shaped holes.

Between the grille being busted up from 'wheeling, the radiator being horribly clogged, expensive recores locally and my apparent inability to have radiators shipped into me intact, it might be an idea I'll have to try.

Yeah, I know, I went to college in Kentucky and sometimes such things just can't be corrected with education!

Funny, I'd be more inclined to refer to such things as being redneck, but the kid calls it Ghetto!

Peace,
Paul

For 60 bucks and 1/2 hour worth of work AND having the old grill to put back if you needed, I don't think you can really go wrong with buying the Saudi grill vs. making one. Just my thought

Please be sending all you NAS grills to us in middle east, yes? We be having so many trouble with ice and deep water here in desert area. How about we make trade? Hold on, what is that I am hearing? Hmmmm....strange whistle coming through window. Will get back to you in moment to discuss grill trade.

I like the look of the Saudi grill. It kinda is a very slight way has that classic look. Well as much of a classic look a disco could have. Now to start trading out the headlights for some bugeyes :)

Well , it certainly fits into the same pattern as people here paying insane amounts of cash for a defender. I can see the draw if your vehicle came with one but I really cant see the facination with putting some Chicken wire in to replace the nice grille it came with.

Well Dee , if you knew what you were looking at maybe you wouldnt say that ? The 70 MACH is an R code drag pack car (1 of 263 made and one of the rarest mustangs to be had) the 66 "Hi Po" there with the 33X 21.50s in the condition they sit there now they are worth more then a few nice and shiny dime a dozen horses.

Kyle
And Dee , use your freakin name

File size is limited to -1 kilobytes. Your file was 16 kilobytes. If this is an image, try reducing the dimensions or the color depth

that far in file compression i can't go yet...
maybe Ax knows...

OH Kyle, I was playing with your quote "I really cant see the fascination with putting some Chicken wire in to replace the nice grille it came with"

The same could be said by others why take off the nice Stock bumper and add a custom KVT like yours.

To each his own, me id love to get a KVT but I guess im not the chosen few, how about a KVT lottery 25 a pop?

IMO a chicken wire grill would cut down on the under hood temps, I guess that's why LR developed it for the Saudi market. we dont have ice out here in the low lands and most streams arent high enoug to cover the diffs

The DII Open Mesh grill seem's a bit more stylish. today it felt like a triple digit day and the open grill would help in the rush hour traffic also wheeling out in the Anza Borrego it would be worth it.

Yes I love MACH Stangs, and was not trying to disrespect yours, I made the mistake of giving my first car a 66 Pony interior and rally pac Stang to my brother, the dumb bastard traded it for a falcon

I'm not sure what model it was but a roommate had one with a 351c fast car, I cant imagine one with a BB

Are you going to restore that? a restored one could bring more than enough to buy a D90 and finance a trip to MOAB LOL any way it will look nice restored good luck on that project
