I'm looking for the location of the flywheel drain plug on my 96'. Haynes says it should be drained of there is a plug fitted to it - but I can't even find where it is under the truck (read; 'mechanically challenged'). Where is the Flywheel housing anyways? thanks |

Is this a manual or automatic transmission? Why are you looking for the flywheel drain plug anyway? |

It's an automatic. Haynes says it should be drained periodically if there is no plug fitted to it - and I can't even find it! |

Stephen, The flywheel drain-plug is a "wading plug" that is fit to manual transmissions if it is foreseen that you will be wading. Automatic transmissions don't have them. FWIW... -L |
