If you take a rear shock off your vehicle and compress/extend it by hand, would you expect it to do this smoothly or would you expect it to have spots of resistance and then jump a little (perhaps 1/2 an inch) and then meet resistance again? This is what my rear shocks are doing and I'm wondering if this is contributing to a 'clunking' that I get over bumps. They are only a few months old. Any info/suggestions appreciated. John |

if the play is at the very end of travel I would consider it acceptable. Otherwise no. Did you prime them before install?

Pump shocks several times before install. otherwise you risk getting dead spots. hummmm old school thing but I have always done it Ron |
